SLEEP-DISORDERS

Sleep deprivation is torture. There is a reason it has been used for Centuries as a method of gathering intelligence from the enemy during a time of war. The human body NEEDS sleep. It heals and repairs itself during sleep. Without sleep, we can suffer a myriad of symptoms:

  • Depression
  • Decreased productivity
  • Low motivation
  • Low energy
  • Inability to focus or concentrate
  • Poor memory

According to Thomas M. Heffron, “Thirty to thirty-five percent of adults have brief symptoms of insomnia…and 10% have a chronic insomnia disorder.” The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) published these findings: “About 4% of US adults used prescription sleep aids in the past month” (March 2018).

One major cause of insomnia is an over-stimulated neurological system; people who suffer from this can never get to a relaxed state. The human body has neurotransmitters that ignite sleep, healing, and restoration, but in some people’s cases, these neurotransmitters are not getting released.

Another major cause of insomnia is medication. By treating and reversing the condition that requires the medication, we can free our patients completely from their insomnia.
